"Leaf Filter Gutter Guard"
I was quoted over $4,500 to install the Leaf Filter system and I singed a contract to do my house. The first two crews refused the job because they did not have the right ladders. The third crew came three times and only completed one side of the house. Then they left stating that they were not being payed enough to do the job. Why is that my problem? There is something very wrong with the management and labor relations of this company. What I was told by the installers seemed not match what information that the Leaf Filter web site information has under "careers". Perhaps the state Attorney General should review the actions of this company. All I want is to have my project completed in a workman like manner.

"Worst company I've ever dealt with"
I got a signed contract from their salesman on Friday for $1,040.00 (after being originally quoted for $3,722.00, then he applied "discounts" and quoted $2,605.00) so after settling on the price of $1,040 he and I both signed their contract. On Monday morning the salesman calls and says he "misquoted the job" so he has to ask for $100.00 more money (which is about 10%). I called the sales manager to discuss why they won't honor the signed contract and he couldn't care less, says I have to pay more or they won't do the work, so I cancelled instead of paying them more money. Best thing I ever did.

"Barley enough downward pitch to drain gutter"
The quote was free, and the price was reasonable for one 6" seamless 38ft. gutter. And, they were willing to install just the gutter without the "gutter guard" that I didn't want. The experienced installers came when they said they would, and did the job. I'd give them a "B" only because 1.) they left the old aluminum nail sleeves lying all over the ground, and 2.) the downward pitch of the new gutter was such that it was barely enough to drain the gutter during a heavy down-pour. It was obvious that they were in too much of a freekin' hurry to make such an obvious mistake. But they did hold to the quoted price, and I guess it's better than the old inadequate 4" gutter.

"Nightmare!"
What a nightmare this company is. I called for a price only & agreed to have them installed. I get on the internet & see all the horrible reviews so I cancel the installation about 2 hours later. Then the bully boss calls me trying to pressure me into it and insulting me and trying to scare me saying the big rain is coming and it's going to be really bad for my house with my gutters the way they are. I insist on cancelling. That was 2 days ago and I just get a knock on my door and some guy says he's here to install them!!! I told him "no way, I cancelled them" and he leaves. Two minutes later I get a call from bully boss guy saying he has a crew & all the supplies waiting. I tell him that's his fault because I cancelled it. He even admits he's the one I talked to. Well if he knows I cancelled it and admits I told him to cancel within about 2 hours, then why on earth did he send a crew with supplies? To try to bully me into letting them do it. What a horrible, low-down way to try to get business. Beware of Leaf Filter.

"Buyer Beware (re-do)"
Buyer Beware: As soon as you mention you want a quote, they continue to call you 5 times a day. After reading different reviews, I knew I had made a mistake to talk to the salesman; my experience was pretty much the same as many other reviews; salesman was very pushy, like talking to used car salesman; pointed out consumer reports. I told him I wanted to talk to other companies,then he pushed even harder; kept going down in price; didn't wear mask, told me I'd get discounts for senior citizen. He tells me how busy they are almost forcing you to make a decision. Once you sign he calls in to see when the system can be installed. Lo and Behold he can come next day. In Canada we have a 10 day "cool down" period so you can cancel if not happy. That's why they show up next day so you can't change your mind. Once the product is installed you'll never hear from them again. Beware, Beware, Beware. Filing a complaint with BBB.

Shingle granules plug up screen. Ice freezes on top screen and until it thaws water pours over. It keeps out leaves out but that doesn't help anything if water cannot get through the screen. Even when clean water flows over in heavy rain. Sorry I wasted my money!

"Rainwater pours over the gutters"
Rainwater pours over the gutters. Worried about our foundations Terrible customer service and post installation support. They sent over several employees who repeatedly divised solutions that didn't work. The salesman (Oak Brook, IL) who promised to be always there for us doesnt respond to messages. Some technicians dont call back or respond to our calls. Service manager in Elmhurst,IL. does not respond and actually hung up the phone in my face. I wish I never used them and kept my old gutters. Ads are misleading.

"My Personal Experience"
Product is strong and durable. Did considerable research before even talking to sales rep. Seeing the product actually sold me. It was more durable and better made than most of the competition but wasn't the highest priced product. This was a win/win for me. Selected the closest color match to my existing gutters. Just wish they had darker colors since my gutters were already painted a chocolate brown. Installation was an awesome experience. I'm the curious type so the contractor used to install the product was great in answering my questions, and super fast. Obviously he had done this for years and his skill showed. I am looking forward to years and years of no gutter cleaning! Best - product, sales rep, and installer!

"Very unhappy with the installation experience"
The installation process took ten days, rather than one day. The installers did not replace all of the rotted fascia, as per the contract and refused to do so.
