"Not great"
They promised to correct an improperly sloped gutter. They didn't. We have two valleys on our roof. The leaf filter cannot handle the concentrated steam of water coming off the valleys so the water runs off the gutter and down the wall. In both cases we have water damage and mold at one wall that we now need to repair - after we figure out a way to correct the leaf filter problem. I called a service guy out. He said he came to look at the situation while I wasn't home, but never called back with a solution. It works ok for a light rain, but in a heavy rain the water runs over the gutter and runs down the wall, not just at the valleys - everywhere. I still have to get on a ladder to clean off the leaf filter because the debris does not always dry up and blow off as advertised. Maple flowers completely covered the gutter like a mat and no water was captured by the gutter. It is easier to clean than scooping leaves out of the gutter, but now have to clean the gutter, fascia, and wall that is streaked with dirt from the runoff after a hard rain. Overall, I'm disappointed and wish I hadn't spent the money on it.

"Almost called the police!"
The salesman showed up late (was told they are always on time). I knew almost instantly that it was going to be a pressure sale. The salesman (Justin) was just trying too hard and using the "oh, I love dogs and I have a 3 year old and 6 year old. I don't get paid a commission, I get a salary and car and mileage paid for, what I get is a bonus at the end of the month based on footage sold". Well, guess what brainchild, that is a commission! Oh, and that helps support my wife and 3 year old and 6 year old... BTW, he was driving a brand new Jeep. He advised he was going to take some measurements and call his boss to see what the best deal was he could get me for today. Red alert number two. (If you can't offer a decent price and let me think about it for a few days then I know it's a scam). So, during that time I decided to do a little research (shame on me for not doing it before I called). That's when I found this site. So... I went outside to tell him I had a bad feeling about the sales technique and apologized for wasting his time. He got out of the car, starting waving his arms, told me none of the reviews were real and I was taking away from his children and wasted his gas. Proceeded to tell me to check Angie's List and Homeowner's for positive reviews and that he would be waiting. By then I was actually fearful. I called his office and told them if he didn't leave I would call the police. He finally left about 10 minutes letter. I am still shook up. Do not let these people on your property!

"Gutters"
They did not finish the job. One of the gutters in the rear of the house was left undone. We called them and they sent someone out to look at the job. He told us the one gutter was a box gutter and they don't work with those. Had we known that, we would not have had any of the work done. He told us to call the company about this and we called them several times but they didn't return our calls.

"Poor product & installation"
We had LeafFilter installed in February 2020. We were pressured into a quick sale & very quick installation. We have had several issues with this product bowing in the middle, as I do not believe it was properly installed. The company has sent installers to our home on several occasions. The product looks ok now, but since it has only been a few months, I am concerned about how it will stand up under the weight of leaves in the fall & heavy snow. I have asked for a partial refund or compensation for this faulty product in writing, and have asked for the company to respond in writing. They have left several phone messages, but have not responded in writing. The trouble with phone calls, is more pressure.

"Pooled water behind gutter"
Poor product. Sales rep sells you on a great system that will work well with existing gutters. After observing rain with system, found it ran over gutter and pooled water behind gutter. This is causing damage to landscaping, craters in ground, wood rot and part of my gutter has fallen off. Company will not respond. They do not offer satisfaction. Would not recommend.

"Pushy Sales Pitch"
I saw the advertisements on tv. Called them up for their free estimate. Sales person shows up, does his measurements, and my first offer is $5.742. Then, after discounts are offered, it is down to $3,600. The catch is that I needed to agree right away. I was not ready to do that, so I said I needed more time. I was given until 2pm the following day. Meanwhile, the salesman's boss called and offered an even better price, $1,981. After reading a lot of negative reviews, and not wanting to be pressured into anything, I called the salesman back and said I want to speak with a local contractor first. I said I may still call him back to order from Leaf Filter, but again I didn't want to be pressured into anything. He didn't want to take no for an answer, and said that $1,981 price would be gone, and there would be no further negotiation. If I called them back, the price would be back up to $5,742. I did not like this experience at all. The gimmick is way too pushy, and they seem simply concerned about making a sale. I would not recommend. The commercials showing older folks happily ordering from them seems like false advertising.

"Stqay Away from Gutter Guard"
Stay away! The filters will clog with moss, mildew, mold, general debris, making them impossible to clean. This happens after a few months after instillation (depending on Weather). This is simply a scam. I had to remove them. Replaced with inexpensive roles of gutter guard. Very inexpensive and simple to install. Spent about $25.00 for 150 feet.

"This Micro Mesh System is Flawed"
I've worked as a salesman for Leaf Filter as well as another gutter protection company. I know every detail about the product and sales pitch. I'm writing to warn people not to use their flawed and grossly overpriced system. The biggest problem with their system is one of the very things that Leaf Filter brags about - the "micro mesh" filter. The opening on their micro mesh is much smaller than the micro mesh filters of other systems. It won't allow pollen or and other dust size particles to enter through. This eventually and inevitably collects on the surface, then dries and clogs the system. Because of this, water will flow right over the gutter as if you had no protective system installed at all. Other micro mesh systems allow these particles to pass through which then get flushed out with the water. There are other issues with Leaf Filter but this alone should clearly show that it's a losing proposition. Price will be upwards of $30 a foot to install (measure your gutters and do the math!). The fact is that there are commercially available products out there at literally 1/10th the price which will actually work better!

"Misleading pitch"
i had an interview for an estimate on June 3, 2020. The salesman assessed the gutter problem and came inside to sell me a product not discuss the estimate. It started at $7,500 and before he left we were down to $2.976. He showed me pictures of my gutters and i was overwhelmed at the amount leaves in my gutter. I was a one time pressure filled sales pitch that was no good after he leaves. My inner instincts stayed on my mind about the amount of leaves in my gutter. I decided to look at my gutters myself to see the leaves. I was totally shocked at how few leaves were in my gutters. This salesman showed my pics of someone else gutters and tried to pass them off as mine. This morning i called and cancelled the contract because a buyer has 3 business days to cancel. I will be looking for an alternative to protect my gutters. That's why he was hell bent on getting me to sign a contract so quick. Stick with your gut feeling. If a salesman tell you to sign up now because you can't get this contract again, tell them thanks but no thanks. If you are a good company you will honor your offer whenever the customer is ready.

"Leaf filter"
Buyer beware... outrageous quote.. then came ridiculous down ...on price.. then tried to slide the cost into a big corporate job they have .. how shady is that... And there is nothing maintenance free So for me it was a big No to leaf filter in Hudson Ohio .. Seem like a good product, but if you have them install, recommend getting up there and have your gutters check out to make sure everything is still functioning...from time to time.....Sorry lost me on the shady deal .. So how is the company ran.....?
